Applications do not guarantee acceptance into the 2026 market season.
Here are a few things you should know.
All items for sale must be grown, cooked, baked or made by the vendor. Plants must be grown from seed, plant cuttings, plugs, or vegetative propagation. Craft items must be constructed from materials such as textiles, wood, stone, minerals, plant or animal material. No 3D printing and sublimation. Prepared food items may be made from ingredients such as sweeteners, grains, fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy. Items bought elsewhere and then brought to the market for re-sale are not permitted because this is false representation.
All food vendors/producers must have completed the requirements for the PA Food Employee/Servsafe Certification Act, 3 PA.C.S.6501-6510 as required by law and be inspected by the PA Dept. of Agriculture. If you have any questions please contact Barbara Kappel at 717-319-0712, or [email protected]. Food vendors must also submit a current copy of the PA Food Employee Certification which must include the address where the product(s) is prepared and packaged.
The Ligonier Country Market is a producers’ market. Value added is the physical effort by the vendor required to produce the merchandise sold at the Market. This concept is captured by the phrase, “Make it, Bake it, or Grow It.”
Craft vendors may not sell purchased raw materials. The original materials in a product must be significantly altered and enhanced by the artisan. All items must be of original work and design. All vendors who sell a taxable product must provide a current copy of their Sales, Use and Hotel Occupancy Tax License.
It is the vendors responsibility to know what licenses are appropriate for the product(s) they produce. Copies of all licenses must be provided prior to acceptance as a vendor.
If you have questions please contact our Market Director, Kelly Svesnik at 724-858-7894 or [email protected].
